VIP status grants you various advantages like additional fights in the Arena, more gold in the Tower Chest, the opportunity to raid missions, and much more. The highest VIP level is 15.
When you reach VIP level 15, you unlock all the existing bonuses but continue to receive VIP points. They represent your total spending on the server.
